Build a toothpaste specification that suppliers can quote
Start with the target market
Identify the country, consumer group, retail channel and intended product positioning. A whitening concept, a children’s range and an everyday family toothpaste require different discussions about ingredients, flavour and labelling. A product name alone is not enough to define a production specification.
Define formula and sensory requirements
Describe paste colour, texture, flavour intensity, net content and any ingredients you want included or excluded. Share an existing specification or reference sample when available. The team can discuss development feasibility; final claims and ingredient levels need approval for the intended market.
Approve a complete pack
Treat the tube, cap, seal, carton and shipping case as one system. Check artwork dimensions, language, batch-code position and the information required on the retail label. Record the approved sample and packaging revision so repeat orders refer to the same specification.

Does a whitening concept guarantee an approved claim?
No. Product claims and supporting evidence must be reviewed for the destination market and the final formula. A catalogue description does not replace that review.
What should I check before approving bulk production?
Approve the sample, formula specification, artwork, packing list requirements, quality criteria and commercial terms in writing. Keep a dated record of the approved revisions.
