Match the legal entity and production site
Check that the company named in the quotation, contract and certificates is the party you intend to work with. Confirm the production address and who performs each operation. A trading office address and a certified manufacturing location may serve different purposes.
Review certificate scope and validity
Inspect the original certificate, issuer, validity period and the activities or products covered. ISO management-system documents, product test reports and Halal certificates answer different questions. Ask how the scope relates to the exact product you plan to order.
Arrange a focused factory review
Before a visit or remote audit, share a list of areas to inspect: incoming materials, formulation, filling, packing, quality records and storage. Request a discussion with the responsible staff and keep an action list for any evidence that still needs to be supplied.
